Oceny filmów o Batmanie

Ja nowego postu nie wrzucam, bo w tym roku rzeczywiście nic z Batmanem praktycznie nie było poza Apokalips War i Harley Quinn... jak ktoś się uprze to jeszcze Red Son, ale to już jest tak gościnny występ, że go nie dodaję. Jedynie zmodyfikowałem ostatni post.

Po przesunięciu premiery filmu Matta Reevesa na marzec 2022, przyszły rok zapowiada się równie mizernie pod tym względem. Widzę jeden film szykowany przez Warner Bros. Animation, Batman: Soul of the Dragon (premiera na początku 2021) oraz - być może, bo nie znalazłem info, czy potwierdzona jest premiera w 2021 - animowana adaptacja The Long Halloween. Poza tym, na HBO Max ma zadebiutować Dir Cut Ligi Snydera i w sierpniu do kin ma trafić The Suicide Squad Jamesa Gunna (o ile covid nie pokrzyżuje tych planów), z tym że Batmana w nim na 99% nie będzie.

W tym roku znowu wszystko mamy już za sobą i nawet udało mi się kilka zaległości animowanych nadrobić, więc właściwie jestem już chyba ze wszystkim do przodu, jeśli chodzi o filmy. Jeśli chodzi o aktorskie to bez zmian, ale ogólnie po jakości animacji Marvela What If (nie mówię tu o fabule) stałem się bardziej krytyczny, jeśli chodzi o animacje DC pod tym względem:

Po powtórce: The Batman » 7/10

Skąd taka, a nie inna ocena? Stylistycznie, aktorsko i realizacyjnie to niesamowity film. Otwarcie z Riddlerem, późniejszy monolog Bruce'a, Gotham w deszczu i pierwsze sceny z Batmanem są genialne, więc film zaczynał u mnie w zasadzie od maksimum. Później jednak zaczynają się problemy (dwa duże i kilka drobnych), na które nie potrafię przymknąć oczu. Pierwszym jest scenariusz (za co -1 pkt.), co opisałem* już w innym wątku. Drugim jest niezniszczalność Batmana (-1 pkt.). Przykro mi, ale nie polubię tego pomysłu. Pokazywanie odporności tego stroju jest nadużywane i niekonsekwentne, a jeśli już Matt Reeves chciał wykreować Batmana, który nie boi się serii z broni automatycznej i nie robi uników, to powinien dać mu maskę rodem z Batman Beyond. I na tym w sumie mógłbym skończyć odejmowanie, bo jak już wspomniałem większość pozostałych uwag to pierdoły, które nie mają większego wpływu na mój odbiór filmu. Ale jest pewne "ale". Już w 2019 obiecałem sobie (i chyba nawet o tym pisałem), że jeśli Warner Bros. nie odpuści nawet jednej okazji i w tym filmie choćby na pół sekundy mignie Joker, lub karta Jokera, lub gdzieś usłyszymy jego śmiech, to na start film ma ode mnie -1 pkt. przy ocenie, choćby reszta okazała się najlepszym bat-filmem w historii. Cóż...



Może przymknąłbym oko, gdyby chociaż to cameo clowna było udane, ale scena z jego udziałem jest po prostu najgorszą w całym filmie (i całkowicie zbędną). Poza tym, zacytuję słowa Davida S. Goyera, scenarzysty Batman Begins.

Endings are really important. If you have a great movie and your last 10 minutes aren't so great - I mean - they're really important because it's the last impression that people are - you know - that you leave with people. You can have a spectacular movie and fail the audience in the last 10 minutes and completely loose them. On the other hand, you can have a movie that doesn't start out so great, and as long as it ends on strong note people will forgive quite a bit. Endings are very important and I don't know why, but typically they are the most difficult thing to write, and they're most difficult thing to film (...)

The Batman wszystko co najlepsze do zaoferowania ma w pierwszej połowie, niestety. Stąd moja ocena.
